1. Introduction to CNC servo drive

Modern CNC machine tools are dominated by CNC servo drives, including CNC servo drives and servo motors. Servo systems are divided into semi-closed loop systems and closed-loop systems.

Compared with traditional stepper motors, servo motors are equipped with measurement feedback devices, which have the advantages of high positioning accuracy, high efficiency, fast response, and

smooth transition between the lowest speed and the highest speed. If the CNC servo drive or servo motor fails, the corresponding alarm code will be displayed on the drive display.

2. Troubleshooting of CNC servo drive

Generally speaking, if the CNC servo drive issues an alarm as soon as it is powered on, it is likely that the drive has burned out. If the alarm occurs during operation or after power has been applied

for some time, it is most likely caused by an external problem.

The alarm code of the CNC servo drive cannot be 100% accurate, but it provides reference and guidance for maintenance personnel. Pay attention to analysis when repairing, and follow the principle

from the outside to the inside when handling. No matter what the fault is, inspection and repair can conduct a detailed analysis of the following contents: whether the parameter settings of the system and

CNC servo drive are correct; whether the power supply voltage is normal; whether there are open circuits and short circuits in the circuit; whether the insulation of the motor is good; whether the CNC servo

drive is There is a fault, whether the motor itself is faulty. If it only occurs when the motor is running, you should consider whether the parameters of the CNC servo drive and the motor match; whether the

pulse command frequency output by the system is too high; whether the acceleration and deceleration time constants are too small; whether the electronic transmission ratio is set too large; whether the

CNC Overshoot caused by inappropriate gain parameters of the servo driver.
